This project was funded by the Australian Government Department of Health and Ageing.
The successful conduct of this project would not have been possible
without significant support from the following organisations -
Aboriginal Health Council of South Australia
The case studies contained in the guide are of central importance in providing the 'Experience from South Australia's Eyre Peninsula'. We thank the following people who were willing to share their stories, models, knowledge, experience and learnings.
The artwork in the guide has been included with the permission of the Port Lincoln Aboriginal Health Service, the Spencer Gulf Rural Health School, and the Centre of Clinical Research Excellence in Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Health. The original artists or designers were Matthew Goodluck, Jillian Larking, Joylene Johncock, Kate Warren and Charmaine Wilson. They are acknowledged throughout the guide where their work appears.
As well the steering committee, and the contributors to the case studies, we thank Jenny Stanley (EPDGP), Gladys Fleming (EPDGP) and Merrilee Baker (Ceduna Koonibba AHS) for their suggestions about earlier versions of this guide.
The photographs throughout the guide are included to not only demonstrate aspects of CDSM support, but to also illustrate that Eyre Peninsula has a spectacular environment and offers a great lifestyle.
